I don't care for many nightgowns in her size that I see. I don't like "characters" and the plain ones are sometimes made of weird material. So....I decided to sew my own. We went to JoAnn Fabrics and picked out a cute pattern, and I let Tailynn pick out material. Her first selection, after much hemming and hawing, was brown with pastel dots. Her second selection, after much much much more hemming and hawing, was this cute lil' bandanna/horse duo. Not my first choice, but the girl loves horses and pink, so what can I say?
This project took me three days to finish. I've never sewn anything BY MYSELF from scratch before, I've always had my mom here to help. But as you can see, it turned out *almost* exactly as it should! The Spirit horses on the front are galloping upside down (but I did that on purpose so when Tailynn looks down, she sees them right side up...yeah...on purpose I tell you!).
I'm quite proud of these! The next set (with the brown fabric) is going to be tank sleeved, and will be shorter, as to not drag on the ground. :)
